I love this combo! First, let me say how beautiful Calypso blue is <3 Totally gorgeous on its own, but i had to do something to it, so I don’t get bored as soon. So I added Essence golden topper. I was really (positivelly) surprised at how well the gold flakes transfered to the nail, I just had to dip the brush in the bottle and I had enough of them on for two, sometimes even three fingers!

The way it shines

Calypso blue is a perfect dark blue. It was part of the Bahama blues collection. It does look dark, but it DOES NOT LOOK BLACK! In any light. And I love that!! My new favourited dark blue polish. Not to mention, it is a one-coater, talk about perfection <3 I read online the removal is not so great, but I still have to see that, since this is what I am currently wearing… I hope it isn’t too bad, I hate smurf fingers!
Steel-ing the scene gold topper from Metal glam limited edition is exactly that. Gold flakes(glitters?) in a clear base. An easy application, but I did have some of the flakes stuck out of my nail surface a bit. Nothing major, it wasn’t even visible, I was only able to feel it. But I didn’t use any top coat, so maybe with a top coat it’d be better. The polish is packed with gold flakes, so no problem there 🙂 And it shines <3 The flakes reflect light amazingly, so it shines, oh-so-beautiful!
