Review: Balea Happy day Glücksmomente Maske

I bought this mask a couple of days ago. I always stop at DM to see if they have any new limited edition items from Balea, because 9/10 times I’ll love them. So when I saw this mask, I knew I need to take it.

 THE PACKAGING:

A standard Balea packaging. The mask is separated in two, and it is supposed to be for two uses. Each pocket contains 8ml of product.

Do ingredients confirm what the description says?
GLYCERIN is very useful. It has an ability to attract water, helping the surface layers of skin increase the amount of it. It is also a subtsance found naturally in skin. It is one of the substances in sin that prevents dryness.
DECYL OLEATE acts as a lubricant on the skin surface, giving it a soft and smooth filling. It also forms a thin, non-greasy film on your skin.
DICAPRYL CARBONATE is a skin conditioner that works by providing a protective film and enhancing the skin’s lipid layer
GLYCERYL STEARATE CITRATE helps skin retain moisture.
GLYCERYL STEARATE acts as a lubricant. It forms a barrier on the skins surface, preventing the loos of water and gives it a soft and smooth look. 
BUTYROSPERMUM PARKII BUTTER shea butter is a skin conditioning and thickness increasing agent. It is also very similar to the in structure and function to the lipid layer.
CETEARYL ALCOHOL is not an alcohol that’d dry your skin! In fact, it is well known to condition and soften your skin. 
PRUNUS AMYGDALUS DULCIS OIL sweet almond oil is a good moisturizer. 
ZEA MAYS GERM OIL maize germ oil is a basic oil for all skin tipes.
TOCOPHERYL ACETATE is a form of vitamin E, which is an antioxidant and skin conditioner.
PHENOXYETHANOL is the first ingredient, that I don’t like. Even tho it is widely used as a preservative, it is said that it can be harmful, if used too much. 
PANTHENOL helps retain moisture in your skin.
CARBOMER is used to help distribute the mask.(so, nothing to do with your skin 😉 )
ETHYLHEXYLGLYCERIN acts as a surfactant and preservant enhancer
GLYCERYL OLEATE acts as an emuslifier.

So, basicaly, yes, the mask should do what it says. It is moisturizing, it also has some vitamins(E, provitamin B5, C). The only downside is there are some powerful scents(aromathic oils and stuff derived from aromapthic oils) that can cause alergic reaction if you have really sensitive skin or if it comes in contact with the sun.  

My experience:

The mask itself is white and easy to spread. It’s not really visible when you apply it, so you won’t be scaring anyone when wearing it. It smells flowerish and parfume-y. You can see on the picture how (in)visible it is 😉

I have to say this mask did what I wanted it to do. It smelled nice. It was easy to apply. It didn’t irritate my skin, it didn’t cause redness or burning. It actually made my skin feel better, and more hydrated. First, I washed my face and then I applied the mask. After I didn’t need to apply my cream, the mask itself was enough for me. Which means a lot, because usually my skin feels dry after I wash it, and I really need to put some cream on it. I also took same before/after pictures, even tho I think there isn’t much of a difference =) It smoothed my skin a bit.

Final verdict:
I would recommend this to you, IF you don’t have supersensitive skin. If you have dry to normal skin, this is what you should try, if you have really dry skin, I don’t think it will be enough for you. If you have oily skin, you can try it, but you have to clean your skin properly prior using this mask.
