Voco hotel Dubai

I haven’t written about any hotel in a long time, and Voco Hotel Dubai definitely deserves its place on the blog! The IHG hotel on Sheikh Zayed Street on the outside does not look like anything special, just another tall building in Dubai, but when you enter, the story changes.

Why did we choose Voco hotel Dubai?

Okay, I have to be honest here. At the time we visited the Voco Hotel Dubai, the prices were lower than usual due to Ramadan and the covid. However, Voco convinced us basically with the photos, and the tipping point was a room with a bathtub with a beautiful view. When we booked the room, we wrote in the notes that this is exactly the room we want – and our wish was fulfilled!

Room

Jan and I chose a room in a higher floor and I can only say – it’s worth the extra money! The glass wall offers a beautiful view from both the bedroom and the bathroom. The room had a huge bed and a sofa, and most of all a top bathroom. In the middle was a huge mirror with a sink, a toilet on one side and a bathtub and shower on the other. The most beautiful bathtub / shower ever. The view is abnormal, really. We also saw the Burj Khalifa from our room!

Pool

Outdoor pool with bar. Nice ambience, but unfortunately not enough sunbeds. You can also get alcohol in the pool bar, for example, beer costs around 10€. The water was pleasantly refreshing, not too cold, but also not too hot – which is an important fact in the Dubai heat.

Breakfast

I still dream of this wonderful breakfast! Soooooo choices, I can’t even begin to describe. Fresh juices, flavored waters, teas, coffee, hot food, PANCAKES – freshly baked, also some interesting dishes, everything you can imagine. And, of course, the extremely friendly staff, who really tried to conjure up the most beautiful experience for us.

Location

The hotel is located on Sheikh Zayed Street, which is the main and longest street in Dubai. The metro is about a 10-minute walk away. Nearby is the new Museum of the Future. There are also various restaurants and taverns nearby.

Voco Hotel Dubai is definitely a hotel worth visiting. It remained in my fondest memory, I would gladly return. Especially the beautiful view in the room and the divine breakfasts. If you are looking for a hotel in Dubai and want a little luxury at a normal price, Voco Hotel is definitely the hotel I recommend!
