OPI released new nail polish collection for fall/winter 2019, called OPI Scotland. As you’ve probably guessed from the named, the collection was inspired by Scotland. Why?
Scotland is the inspiration of this fall collection for two reasons.
It evokes the feeling of acceptance no matter how different one is and it is an ideal place for connecting and hanging out with friends.
At the same time it is the capital of colours. Scotish pattern is ‘in’ this year and will be on all off the fashion runways in fall colours, such as olive green, clay gray, dirty orange, dark purple, blue, clasic red,…
OPI Scotland collections has 12 colours and all the colours come in two different versions – as regular nail polish or the Gel colour version, which is intended for professional use. The colour range consist of more or less earthly tones with a few vibrant exceptions. Brown, nude, red, orange, purple and blue are the colours that best describe OPI Scotland collection. It consist of mostly cream nail polishes, but there are also 2 metallic ones and 1 shimmer.
I had the opportunity to try two of the polishes from the collection before it came to the stores. The application can only be described as super easy. They are greatly pigmented, easy to apply, no brush strokes visible and both nail polishes dry fast. I am very pleased with them both! The brush is a bit wider and flat, but easy to work with. On all of the pictures you’ll see two coats of OPI Scotland nail polish, without base or top coat. Both are a bit more runny, so I advise you to be carefull when applying, so you don’t flood your cuticles.
OPI Scotland You’ve got that Glass-glow
Soft, nude and cream are the three words I’d say best describe You’ve got that Glass-glow nail polish. The colour is taupe with a pinkish wibe and gray undertone. perfect nail polish for anyone that looks for a soft looking nail polish that still seems special. Pigmentation is great, one thicker coat would also be enough. This one already made its way to my favourite nail polishes of this fall!
OPI Scotland Nice set of pipes
Blurple vampy beauty that is still light enough it doesn’t look black. One coat is enough for full coverage. Nice set of pipes is truly a beautiful cream nail polish, that was just made to rock your nails this winter. It is also great for nail art, it is pigmented enough for stamping.
I am super pleased with both nail polishes I’ve tried from OPI Scotland collection. If you are looking for perfect fall/winter shades for this year, I highly suggest you take a closer look at this collection!
I still have A Little Guilt Under the Kilt, which is the perfect red and Nessie Plays Hide & Sea-k, blue beauty with green shimmer on my wishlist. Which shades did you end up putting on your list?
Xoxo, A.
