Kiehl’s in Slovenia
There is a new brand here in Slovenia, Kiehl’s. I am sure many of my international readers already know the brand, but for us in Slovenia it is something new.
Who and what is Kiehl’s?
Kiehl’s is a brand that comes from New York and it is more then 150 years old. Their approach is based on their moto “Try before you buy.”, which means you can get your money back if you aren’t happy with the results. (I am not sure how this works and I’d suggest you ask the staff about it.) They offer skin care products, for face and body, as well as hair care products.
Why do I recommend visiting Kiehl’s?
The place itself is very cute, with it’s old apothecary stands and sellers in robes. But this is only the visual impression and doesn’t actually have an effect on the products. What I really liked was the personal approach. All Kiehl’s staff has at least a basic knowledge about ingredients, skin, etc. And they really dedicate to you. First they check what kind of skin you have and they measure the amount of moisture in your skin. Then she asks you about your current routine and what you’d like to change on your skin. She writes it all down and then based on this, recommends you the products, which you can try there, smell then and check the texture.
And the products?
I haven’t really known Kiehl’s until now, even if I saw their stores before. But now I have three products to test and they say those are their top sellers. I have no idea if I’ll like them or not, and I will get back to you on that. When I tested the products at the stand (read above) I remembered mostly the pleasant smell and the absorbant texture. but for now, I don’t have an opinion about the products.

Super Fluid Daily UV Defense SPF 50+
A good suncream is a must, even if it’s not summer. This one has an SPF 50 and when I tried it, it absorbed very quickly.
Turmeric & Cranberry Seed Energizing Radiance Mask
I am terrible with my face mask, I know, I want them all! this one has such an interesting scent.
Calendula Deep Cleansing Foaming Face Wash
I am very pleased with my current face cleaner, but I know I will run out eventually, so I am already looking for my next one.
Butterstick Lip Treatment SPF 30
I had real trouble finding a good SPF lip balm this summer, so this ones really cought my eye. And they come in many colour variation too!
Deep Micro-Exfoliating Scalp Treatment
I have some troubles with dandruff lately and I am in constant search for new ideas and solution. I am not really fond of changing my shampoo, so a treatment like this would be a great idea!
