Highlighters are a big love of mine. And when the opportunity came for me to try the new Essence highlighter palette, I accepted it with both hands! And here it is,

PACKAGING
The packaging is a sturdy carton with a magnet – a big plus. I don’t have a feeling it would be breakable. There is a mini mirror on the inside for a quick retouch on the way. And the colour of the palette, coopery and if you look under a right angle, there is a rainbow there too. WON-DER-FUL!
STAYING POWER
There are three highlighters in the palette. All three are more cremy, easy to apply, but a bit harder to blend. They leave quite a shine on your skin and they do transfer. But staying power is good, they all last all day on me. During the day they do fade a bit but are still visible in the evening.
COLOURS
And even though the palette is called The warms, I feel the tones are more suitable for cooler skins. From left to right:
- golden brown highlighter, the most pigmented of the three and also the most wearable of the bunch. I actually adore using it and ever since I’ve started using it, I use it constantly.
- purple pinkish highlighter with blue shine. Unfortunatelly there is too much of blue in there for it to be wearable, ti just doesn’t look good and natural on me.
- pale pink highlighter, the least pigmented of them. It is wearable, since it is very gentle.
FINAL ASSESMENT
If you like noticeable, interesting a bit different highlighters, I totally recommend you this palette.
There is also another palette, 01 The Cools, that also looks interesting and I will try it for sure some day.
