Brown lips with Golden Rose Metallic collection
Brown lipsticks are coming back. I must confess, I didn’t put much attention to them and I would never buy a brown lipstick for myself. I was certain it is not a colour for me, it doesn’t suit me and this is the end of story. And I didn’t even gave them a glance in stores. Then Golden Rose send me a package with some products from their new Metallic collection. And, what a shock! Brown lipstick. Well, by its name, it is a crayon – Golden Rose Metals Matte Metallic Lip Crayon 09. My reaction? Naa, no way, I’m giving it away. But my curiosity got the better of me and I’ve decided to try it. What did I found out? Read on.
The first thing that interests me in a lipstick is its smell. Before I buy it or put it on, I have to smell it. Yup, I am one of those weirdos that smell stuff in the store. Why? Because if the smell isn’t pleasant to me, i won’t wear it.
Application
Application is really easy with jumbo lip pencils, since the tip is narrow enough for being precise. Golden Rose Metallic lip crayon 09 also has an awesome formula, that really enables easy application. It is soft enough that it just glides on the lips and the pigmentation is great, it leaves enough colour with the first swipe.
Staying power?
Not bad. Unfortunatelly it does leave prints on glasses or when kissing. But if you don’t touch it, it can survive quite a while. At least a couple of hours. The best part? Even if it fades or gets erased, fixing it is super simple and it’s not a problem at all!
Now comes the real question: Does this metallic brown lipstick suit me? My boyfriend didn’t have any comments when I wore it around him(and I did it a bunch of times already), so that definitively means something. I’ll let you to decide for yourself.
